Originally serving as the Istanbul Art and Sculpture Museum, established by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1937, the building underwent extensive renovation from 2010 to 2014. It emerged as a distinguished museum housing exquisite artworks primarily acquired from the Ottoman dynasty's palaces.

The museum is open every day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, except for Mondays and Thursdays.
