Join a hands-on workshop and discover one of Istanbul’s most colorful traditional arts: Turkish mosaic lamp making. The experience begins with a short introduction to the history of mosaic lamps and their place in Turkish culture. With guidance from a skilled instructor, you create your own lamp step by step by placing the template and choosing from a wide selection of colorful stones and glass pieces. It is an enjoyable and relaxing activity, even for first-time participants.
During the workshop, guests are served Turkish tea or apple tea. After completing the design, your lamp remains at the gallery for the drying and finishing process. This experience offers a creative and cultural break during your time in Istanbul and is available at a special discounted rate with your Istanbul Tourist Pass®.
The Mosaic Lamp Workshop takes place at Hafız Omar (2nd Floor), located in the historic Sirkeci area, within walking distance of many major landmarks.
By Tram (Recommended)
Take the T1 Tram Line (Bağcılar–Kabataş) and get off at Sirkeci Station. From there, it’s just a 2–3 minute walk along Hüdavendigar Street.

Get off at Sirkeci Marmaray Station. Exit toward the old city (Fatih side) and walk about 5 minutes to reach the location.
By Metro
Take the M2 Metro Line to Vezneciler Station, then either walk about 20 minutes or transfer to the T1 Tram Line and get off at Sirkeci.

Many buses stop at Eminönü. From there, it’s about a 5–7 minute walk to the workshop location.

Taxis are widely available across Istanbul. You can tell the driver “Sirkeci, Hüdavendigar Caddesi” - the shop is very close to Sirkeci Station.

Creating the mosaic lamp is part of the workshop; the finished lamp is optional, not included, and available for an additional fee of 20 Euros per piece.
All materials are provided, so you don’t need to bring anything extra.
