For many years, Istanbul didn’t have a direct metro line connection for its two airports. Starting in 2023, we celebrate our metro lines connecting the airports to the city


How to Get to Istanbul Airport from Eminonu by using Istanbul Metro


Start at İstanbul Üniversitesi Vezneciler – Take the M2 Line (Yenikapı ↔ Hacıosman) from Eminonu.


Disembark at Kağıthane – At Kağıthane station, you'll have the option to transfer to the M11 metro line (Gayrettepe ↔ Istanbul Airport).


Arrive at Istanbul Airport – Disembark at Istanbul Airport station, completing your trip.


This metro route provides a convenient and efficient way for visitors to travel between Istanbul Airport and the city center.


How to Get to Sabiha Gokcen Airport from Eminonu by using Istanbul Metro


Get a ferry from Eminonu to Kadıkoy. Enjoy the amazing ferry trip on the beautiful Bosphorus.


Take M4 Line (Kadıköy ↔ Sabiha Gokçen Airport)


Arrive at Sabiha Gokcen Airport – Disembark at Sabiha Gokcen station, completing your trip.


This metro line provides a cheaper and faster way to get to the Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
